Elsie Massey originals is a fourth generation family business. Every Elsie Massey creation is a cherished family tradition. For all of us who love the beauty and craftsmanship of the Victorian Era, this will be an opportunity to share and remember. The hat is made of a flexible straw which is red in color. The brim is decorated with red lace, and the satin is the same beautiful shade of red. There are two lovely red roses on the front of the Victorian headpiece, surrounded with red feathers. And, the brim is decorated with those same red feathers. There is a nylon bow scarf on the back of the hat extending to a 30" veil. The inside circumference of the hat is approx. 21 inches around but could vary as far as 23" around. If you want to know the actual "circumference" of any hat, just drop me a quick email and I'll be glad to measure the hat for you. Absolutely breath taking! NOTE: We carry a hat stand (offered through Our Special Place) that has three mauve colored flowers on its side and base; also very pretty.

Elsie Massey originals is a fourth generation family business. Every Elsie Massey creation is a cherished family tradition. For all of us who love the beauty and craftsmanship of the Victorian Era, this will be an opportunity to share and remember. Our Victorian child's hat (also called a "Touring" hat) is lilac in color with a delicate nylon bow scarf. The hat and brim are made of a flexible straw - the brim is decorated in white lace. The fabric on the hat is satin. On the front side of the hat are beautiful lilac roses interspersed with tiny white flowers, and lovely lilac and white beads. There are two lilac ribbons and two lace ribbons hanging delicately from the right side of the hat. The synthetic feathers are lilac. There is a nylon bow scarf on the back of the hat extending to a 24" veil. The crown (where the head goes) is between 17-19" around. If you'd like to know the specific crown circumference of a Victorian headpiece you'd like to bid on, please send me an email and I'll be glad to get this information for you. This is a gorgeous recreation of another era and would make any special child feel special indeed to wear such a lovely headpiece.
